Baby Quilt for Grace

This quilt is for a baby who will be born sometime today.  Her name will be Grace.  Her Dad, Michael, lived next door to us when we lived in North Easton.  Michael, Sean, and Ryan were fast  friends when we moved there in December of 1988.  Sean was 10, Michael was 9, and Ryan was 7.   Time flies, and now Michael's daughter will be born today.  

This quilt is a Scrappy Trip from Quiltville. made with 2-1/2" strips from many quilts made over the past 4 years.  Quilted with a grid pattern.  The quilting looks great since I washed it today.   Easy and fun quilt.

It is backed with some Heather Bailey I bought last year at Gather Here in Cambridge and paper doll dresses and clothes.  Linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it up Friday.  

Happy Friday!! I have a four day weekend!!  Yeah!!

Tula Pink "City Sampler" Sew Along

I have added a button for the Tula Pink City Sampler Sew Along.  Adding the button was easy.  Most of the blocks look pretty straight forward too.  I think I will try doing a rainbow effect with colors I have in my stash.  I just made a quilting to do list.  Sew far there are nine items on the list of things to finish and things to start.  Pretty ambitious.  We'll see how far I get.   It's a beautiful day out there.  I heading up to the Arnold Arboretum for a walk.
